Why Key Holding Matters in Coventry
Relying on staff to attend alarm activations is a significant risk. It exposes them to potential intruders and disrupts their rest. Professional key holding removes this burden entirely.

Straight Answers No Jargon
How much does key holding cost?
The service costs just £1.50 per day, billed annually at £547.50. This covers the secure storage and management of your keys.
Are my keys safe with you?
Yes. Keys are stored in a secure, access-controlled vault in accordance with BS 7984 standards. They are coded anonymously, meaning no address details are attached to the keys themselves.
What happens if my alarm goes off?
If you have paired this with our Alarm Response service, our control room is notified. An officer collects your keys and attends the site immediately to investigate.
Do you charge if you never use the keys?
The annual fee (£547.50) applies regardless of usage, as it covers the cost of secure storage, insurance, and 24/7 readiness. Attendance to site is charged separately per call-out (£75).
Can I call you to let a contractor in?
Yes. You can request a scheduled attendance to unlock the site for contractors, cleaners, or deliveries. This is charged at the standard attendance rate.
Do I still need to be a keyholder?
You can remain a secondary keyholder if you wish, but most clients designate us as the primary keyholder so the monitoring station calls us first.
How quickly can you get to my site?
We operate mobile response units across Coventry. Our goal is to be on-site as quickly as possible, typically well within industry standard response times.
What if the keys are lost?
In the extremely rare event of loss by us, we are fully insured to cover the cost of lock replacement and new keys.
Can you hold alarm fobs and access cards too?
Yes. We can hold physical keys, electronic fobs, access cards, and details of keypad codes.
Do you cover all of Coventry?
Yes. We cover the entire Coventry area, including Binley, Tile Hill, Foleshill, and surrounding industrial parks.
Is this service tax deductible?
For businesses, security services are typically a tax-deductible operating expense. Please consult your accountant.
What documents do I need to sign?
We require a signed Key Receipt and a Service Level Agreement that outlines our authority to enter your premises in an emergency.
Can you manage multiple sets of keys?
Yes. If you have multiple entry points or padlocks, we can hold the necessary bunch. We charge per "site" holding.
What happens after you attend an alarm?
We send you a detailed incident report the next morning (or immediately if serious). This log details arrival time, cause of activation, and action taken.
Can you reset my alarm?
Yes. During the setup phase, you provide us with the alarm user code. Our officers are trained to reset panels after checking the site.
